WACUHO New Professionals Case Study Competition

The WACUHO New Professionals Case Study Competition is an opportunity for New Professionals to challenge their presentation and critical thinking skills and to show their ability to link theoretical knowledge to practical application. This experience is intended to provide New Professionals with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the critical and ethical issues that are faced by more "seasoned" professionals in Housing.

Eligibility for Participation

Case Study Process

Each team will be given the Case Study Scenario and a Presentation at the New Professionals Welcome Reception

Teams will have approximately 10 minutes to make their presentation to Case Study Evaluators and an audience. Case Study presentation times are still being determined, but will be shared soon and announced at the New Pros Welcome Social

Case Study participants and winners will be announced at the Grand Banquet on Tuesday night

Evaluations of Presentations

Case Study Evaluators will be seasoned Housing Officers from a variety of WACUHO member institutions. Evaluators will be utilizing the following criteria when evaluating presentations:

Branding

Organization of presentation

Office Furniture

Rationale for chosen responses

Meeting

Practicality of approach

Innovation of approach

Analyzing the data

Use of theoretical background to justify approach
